Since its beginning in 1998, Southland Jubilee has been downtown Greensboro's premier event, developing a reputation across the region as a quality heritage arts festival. Visitors from near and far will parade the streets of downtown Greensboro to participate in an array of family-friendly festivities, packed with arts and crafts, food, a classic car show, agriculture exhibits, children’s activities and live entertainment.
Southland Jubilee is excited to welcome many new and returning vendors to this year’s festival.
Southland Jubilee prides itself on delivering the most exclusive and unique vendors which will line the Main Streets with handmade arts and crafts and favorite-festival foods. Over 8,000 festival attendees shop for one-of-a-kind treasures that can only be found at Southland Jubilee. At this year’s festival, visitors can expect to find handmade jewelry, woodcrafts, authentic English toffee, dog treats, handcrafted pottery, children’s clothing, traditional festival food as well as red velvet funnel cake and authentic tacos.
Festival-goers can also enjoy live entertainment throughout the day at the Reynolds Plantation and The Ritz-Carlton Lodge Main Stage. John Dunn and The Jazzmen will kick off the festival by taking the stage, from 9:30am until 10:30am. The James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils (J.A.M.P.), the music academy from Augusta, GA, will take the stage from 11am-noon. The JB Musik Academy will host J.A.M.P. Not only will there be entertainment on North Main Street and South Main Street, Festival Hall will also house several performances as well. Festival Hall will have the Southern Spice Dance Academy and Greensboro Elementary students performing at 10am and 2pm. These students will dance the day way with their Jazz, Ballet and modern dance moves. At 12pm, Lake Oconee Academy’s (LOA) Jazz Band and State band will delight the audience with some never before heard pieces. The LOA State Band traveled to Thompson High School on March 18th to perform for their State Evaluation and scored all Superior Ratings in all categories. This band will be performing their State Evaluation program as well as many fun and exciting pieces that get the crowd ready to dance and enjoy all the festivities at Southland Jubilee. They will also be performing the public premiere of Let Your Light Shine. This is a piece that was produced by LOA students and the 3 time Grammy winner Deezle Harrison. Deezle has worked with the likes of Lil Wayne, Mary J Blige, and Jennifer Lopez.
LOA Jazz Band. This is a brand new performing group formed at Lake Oconee Academy this year. They will be performing hit songs from across the years. Some songs that will be featured are Crazy Train, It Don’t Mean a Thing if it Ain’t got that Swing, and the Jazz Classic Moondance.

In addition to the handmade arts and craft vendors, the younger attendees will be delighted with the Children’s Area. This area will include a rock-climbing wall, spider jump, bounce houses, pony rides and crafts of sand art and face painting, sponsored by Greene County Family Connections.
